This fall, children and families hurt by the NBA Lockout need your help…

Dear Community Leaders,

Community Food & Outreach Center is launching an advocacy campaign to help families in need who have been affected by the NBA Lockout. The NBA Lockout Relief Program will be our campaign to help families in need locally, and rally communities nationally to provide food to hungry families, offer crisis services for those in desperate situations and rally community volunteers in Central Florida and around America to help their neighbors in need.

Our goal this fall will also be to bring together as many as 500 volunteers and community leaders in communities across America to support long-term hunger relief efforts, job readiness training and family stabilization programs for the over 50,000 families that worked for arenas across this nation, and over 250,000 families directly hurt by the NBA Lockout. As you know the national economy is still very tough and families across America are running out of options. These are good people who are not looking for a hand out, but just need a hand-up to help them rebuild their lives.

I am asking you to consider rallying your community to action to help the true victims of this Lockout; the working families across our nation. Please consider volunteering and help us be the voice for these families this fall.

Sincerely,
Scott George
